3. RS-24: - It is a new Russian inter-continental ballistic missile that can defeat America’s missile defence system.

4. Iron Dome: - it is a newly developed anti-rocket system by Israel to protect its civilians from attacks by militant groups Hamas and Hizbullah.

5. i-MiEV: - It is the name of recently developed world first mass-produced zero emission minicar.

6. LCROSS:- Lunar Crater Observation and sensing Satellite of NASA came into news recently as it has found significant amounts of water ice on its surface two month after India’s maiden Chandrayan- I mission discovered traces of water on the moon.

7. AWACS:- AWACS stands for Airborne Warning and Control System. It came into news recently as the first of three AWACS platforms purchased from Israel was formally conducted into the Indian Air Force. AWACS can collect information about troop movements and missile launches.

8. RISAT-2: - Radar Imaging Satellite-2 is primarily a surveillance satellite. It was placed recently in the desired orbit by PSLV-12 along the ANUSAT.

13. Project snow leapord: - It is an initiative launched recently for strengthening wildlife conservation in the Himalayan High altitude. It will cover J & K, H.P., Uttrakhand, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim.

14. Omid: - It is the name of first domestically made satellite of Iran launched recently. The launch of Omid was hailed as a major step in its space technology.

15. Ibuki: - It is the name of world’s first satellite dedicated recently to monitor greenhouse gas emission by Japan.

16. Change- I: - Change-1 is the name of Chinese’s first lunar probe Satellite impacted on the moon recently.

17. Kepler Telesceope: - was recently launched by NASA to survey a corner of the galaxy in the hope of learning if other planets like earth exist.

71. National Mission for female Literacy :- It is a renewed effort to make 70 million people – 60 million of them women- functionally literate by 2012 and plug the gender gap that has persisted despite the two decades old literacy drive in mission mode. It was launched recently on September 8, 2009 to mark the international literacy day.

72. PSLV C14: - The ISRO-PSLVC-14 put the country’s 16th remote sensing satellite into the intended orbit. It is the heaviest satellite launched by India so far.
